Texting We see lots of people doing it, as they walk, in a bus, at shopping malls, during commercials, in a car, I even saw someone texting while riding a bike!. It is such a new word that I even had to add it to dictionary on my computer spell check. For those of you that do not know how to text like me, this is for you! My phone is an older style analog phone, here is the steps on how to effectively communicate without actually talking.
1- Select, (Menu.) 2- Use arrow key, navigate to (message to centre.) 3- Select text message. (Create text message) 4- Select (Add number.) 5- Type a phone number in by using the keypad or select search contacts. (This is cool because you do not have to re type in each number every time, the phone actually has a memory.) 6- Press,(OK.) 7- Select (Options.) 8- Scroll down using, (Arrow keys.) 9- Select, (Enter text.) 10- Compose your text. This is where it gets a little complicated. You actually have to take a close look at the keypad. Each number has three to four letters printed on each key, the letters are in sequence. By tapping on a number, one, two, or three times gives you the letter beside the number. So if I wanted to type in a letter (O) I would have to tap the number 6, (three times.) If you wanted the letter (M) you would only tap the number 6 (once.) You must not take too much time when keying in your number, or you may end up with the wrong letter typed. If this happens you can backspace and delete the letter by using the arrow key on the right side of the keypad that says clear. If you want to use numbers in your text you can! You have to use the pound key (#) on the right side of the key pad and numbers appear on the screen. Scroll down to the number that you want with the arrow key and press (select) and (there it is on your text message.) If you want to add emoticon press the star key. Select the emoticons that you want to use, scroll down, select the one you want to use and then press (insert.) 11- When done composing your message. (Select options.) 12- Select (Send.) 13- Message sent!
